Why This Happen???

Based on Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) noted that Indonesia's unemployment reached 8.42 million people in May 2023.This makes Indonesia ranked tenth with an unemployment rate of 6.49%. Undoubtedly, the density of the population in Indonesia causes the availability of jobs to decrease. In addition, Intense competition is the reason someone is unemployed because many companies are looking for employees who have the appropriate qualifications and experience this is the reason the unemployment rate in cities is much higher than in villages. Training and Education is the best solution to reduce unemployment in Indonesia by providing skills training programs that are relevant to the needs of the labor market, maintaining close relationships between industries, and providing educational institutions so as to attract the attention of companies in accepting workers.


Firstly, Training and Education providing skills training programs that are relevant to the needs of the labor market. I am sure that the labor force doesn't have enough skills to keep up with progress. It presents that, in industries such as information technology and automation, companies prioritize hiring individuals with advanced technical skills and expertise in emerging technologies. I’ve heard that limited foreign language skills are also an obstacle to competing in the company. Further, we also need to develop language interests and knowledge of current technology. This supports the idea that skills training programs the needs of the labor market can be achieved by following skills training programs so that meet the expectation of the labor market.



Secondly, Training and education by maintaining close relationships between companies. Companies can increase the chance of getting a job. In my opinion, Maintaining or building connections with professionals in companies could expand our network, which is very necessary for somebody that wants to advance their career. In the same way, people in your network could inform you of some valuable pieces of information such as job vacancies and offer insights into the company’s culture and other precious information. This supports the idea that getting a job could be achieved by maintaining relationships between companies


Third, Training and education by supporting educational institutions to attract the company’s attention. Supporting educational institutions can lead to partnerships or even collaborations with companies themselves because companies often engage with educational institutions for several purposes such as research projects, internships, or mentoring programs. Without a doubt, by participating in such programs or institutions, you can increase your exposure to a lot of potential job opportunities within those. This supports the idea that Supporting educational institutions to attract the company’s attention could help people in getting a job.


In summary, there are three main reasons why training and education is a very effective solutions to decrease the number of unemployment in Indonesia. They are providing skills training programs that are relevant to the needs of the labor market, building close relationships between industries, and supporting educational institutions so as to attract the attention of companies in accepting workers. It is important for us as a society to understand effective ways to reduce unemployment in Indonesia. By doing so, we can play an active role in addressing this issue and contribute to the improvement of our country's welfare. Let us share information and knowledge on the steps that can be taken, such as seeking employment opportunities in growing sectors, developing skills and education, and supporting government programs that encourage job creation. With collective participation and awareness, we can gradually reduce unemployment, create more opportunities, and increase the value of society in Indonesia.
